Malaysia plans to spend over 3.2 billion USD in Cambodia with 162 investments

Phnom Penh: There are 162 Malaysian investment projects in progress in Cambodia, worth more than 3.2 billion US dollars. According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia.

A meeting with Haji Ali Bin Mohd Rustam, Governor of Malaysia, and, Mr. Nut Un Vorn Ra, Deputy Secretary-General of the Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, spoke about the investment opportunities there are in Cambodia to investors and the Malaysian delegation. He mentioned Cambodia's new investment law, which is favorable and facilitates investors' investment, for all foreign investors.

Malaysian governor promises to attract more Malaysian investors to invest in Cambodia. He will also provide important information relating to Cambodian investments to Malaysian investors.

In January 2022, the Council for the Development of Cambodia approved 37 investment projects worth about 2.4 billion US dollars. The report of the Council for the Development of Cambodia shows that in January and February, most of the approved projects were garment factories. Projects also set up were fruit processing factories, tire production, and more.
